1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Gotomo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Gotomo is a social platform that facilitates connections between users through curated group experiences. We provide:

  • Personality-based matching to group compatible individuals
  • Coordination and booking of group experience venues
  • Reservation management for participating venues

Important: Gotomo acts as a facilitator and matchmaker. We help find experiences and make reservations, but the actual experiences are provided by third-party venues.

3. User Responsibilities

As a Gotomo user, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information during registration and profile creation
  • Treat other participants with respect and courtesy during experiences
  • Arrive on time for booked experiences
  • Pay for your own food, drinks, and activities during experiences (unless otherwise specified)
  • Follow venue rules and guidelines
  • Not engage in any illegal, harmful, or disruptive behavior

4. Payments & Fees

Users are responsible for:

  • Subscription fees or per-event fees as displayed at the time of booking
  • Personal expenses during experiences (food, drinks, activity costs)
  • Any damages caused to venue property through negligent behaviour

Gotomo fees cover matchmaking, coordination, and reservation services only.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

All bookings made on Gotomo are final. We do not offer refunds or allow cancellations once a booking is confirmed.

Each experience is carefully curated around a specific group of people. A last-minute cancellation doesn't just affect you - it affects every other person who showed up for the experience. We take that seriously, and we ask that you do too.

No-shows and cancellations:

  • Cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable, regardless of notice given
  • Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in temporary suspension or permanent removal of your account, at Gotomo's discretion, to protect the quality of the experience for all members

Exception:

If Gotomo cancels an event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, venue unavailability, or other force majeure events, you will be offered either a full refund or a reschedule to a future experience of equal value, at your choice.

We do not consider personal scheduling conflicts or change of mind as grounds for a refund.

6. Limitation of Liability

Gotomo is not responsible for:

  • The quality or safety of third-party venues
  • Actions or behaviour of other users during or after experiences
  • Personal belongings lost or damaged during experiences
  • Any outcomes of connections made through the platform

Users participate in experiences at their own risk and should exercise personal judgment and caution.

7. Code of Conduct

Gotomo has zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour. Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Communications & Marketing

By registering for or using Gotomo, you agree that Gotomo may contact you via the communication channels you have provided, including WhatsApp, email, Telegram, and Instagram Direct Message, for the following purposes:

  • Service communications: confirmations, reminders, and updates related to your bookings and experiences
  • Event announcements: information about upcoming Gotomo experiences, new activity types, and special events
  • Platform updates: changes to features, policies, or your account
  • Marketing and promotional communications: offers, community highlights, and news about Gotomo

We will only contact you through channels you have provided during sign-up or through your use of the Service.

Opting out:You may withdraw your consent to marketing and promotional communications at any time by replying "STOP" on WhatsApp or Telegram, or by contacting us at [email protected]. Note that opting out of marketing communications does not affect service-related messages necessary for the fulfilment of your bookings.
